No damage to paint or sheet metal during installation and under load. The cleats are made of plastic-coated glass, so they are extremely durable and will not rust. NOVISauto - pre-compressed, permanently elastic joint sealing tape  for sealing the joint between the hard top or load compartment cover and the vehicle load box. Seals reliably with joint widths between 4 mm and 9 mm when expanded. The foam rubber is placed on the cleaned bottom edge of the upright hard top / tonneau cover  glued on, previously trimmed a little at the ends.  Then the hard top / cargo area cover is carefully aligned on the upper edge of the vehicle cargo box and fixed using the existing aluminum clamps.
